The Excludo Virus

Excludo is a Latin word meaning to shut out, witch is what this virus dose it shuts out all ideas from an artists head, resulting in The Excludo Virus, commonly known as an Artists Block.

Professor Anict at the Desviado Interstate in Spain after years of research has reviled the top tips for over coming The Excludo Virus.

Do it first
Is there something you should be doing, homework, commissions, assignments, or just a TV show could be putting you off,  do it now and finish it off before continue trying to do some art.

Change you surrounds
Seeing the same thing over and over again 24/7 can block your creativeness, so change your scenery, go out side, into the kitchen or even just change things around or you desk or in you room, even moving you desk all together will give you a different perspective.

Get dressed
Sitting around it PJ’s all day makes you tired, or even just cloths that are your around the house ones can drain you, try clean cloths and take a shower or bath to get a fresh start, if there are pieces of clothing you feel more productive in why not try and change into then, who knows school cloths my just come in handy.

Be proud
Be proud of the art work you have done, yes every one can improve, but you should be proud of what you have accomplished and how much you have improved.

Remember
Remember why you love art, stop focussing on what need to be done and get back to why you started down the Artist path, what made you enjoy art, it may make you see what your doing in a new light.

Surround yourself
Even after moving things around you may find you still can not concentrate on what you need to so as simple as it sounds surround yourself with pictures, music or both that will take you to the place you need to be, even changing you desktop background to some thing in them could help.

Words
The Dictionary and Google are your best friends, just flicking through the dictionary can show you words you haven’t thought of and Ideas you would normally not have, even sayings and quotes can help the same way.

Relax
Take some time off, sit out side and take in some air or even just let your mind wonder, because sometimes when your mind is just wondering, you come up with the craziest things.

Move
Sitting in the same spot is bad, to put it plainly get up and move around, go for a walk, do some exercise some to get you up and moving around it will help your immune system at the same time.

Find
Find your inspiration it won’t come to you, go and watch a movie, read a book, look at some are work or your favourite artists works, but don’t just zone out and relax, listen to the words, find the detail’s, look at colour lighting, how things have been placed, really pick it apart who knows that tinny little toaster, sock, word or colour could be the start of your new work.

So remember next time you get stuck with The Excludo Virus, don’t give up you can fight it.

Intro

I’ll try not to write an essay as I have done in the past when using MySpace and Facebook blogging. Some were nice and short and others were just way to long, I will try to keep them as short and sweet as I can like my Deviantart (under the same name) ones have been.
This blog is not being very descriptive at the moment but I’m working on it, this space is going to work as a collective blog, combining MySpace, Facebook, Deviantart and what ever I can think of into one.
Things you can come to expect are: updates on my story (Deviantart), random ranting, misspelling, random day updates like conventions, and friend trips into the city and the weird thinks we saw, as well as pictures if I remember to load them up, and maybe a short story or two who knows but keep looking and who knows you may just be in a blog.
